Women In The World
Women in the World was founded by Tina Brown in 2009 as a live journalism platform to discover and amplify the unheard voices of global women on the front lines of change. Through hosting an annual summit they strive to shine a light on places where women’s voices are never heard, and to celebrate women who live with courage and passion both in the spotlight and on the margins.
Our Task
We were honored when given the opportunity to completely revamp the method in which WITW deliver and display content to their viewers. With usability as the forefront of our design goals, we created a super clean website that clearly defines the relationships between annual events, videos, and the speakers associated with them.
We made sure to develop comprehensive search capabilities so that topics and speakers could easily be located. Events were designed to neatly organize large amounts of details such as daily itineraries, speaker panel breakdowns, and sponsorship tiers. The most important featured we built into the website was the capability for WITW to live stream their annual summit directly above the fold on the website’s homepage. Users could now can tune in live, view panel itineraries, and learn more about each speaker without ever navigating away from the website.
We continue to work with Women in the World by keeping their website reliable and up-to-date so that no story goes untold.
